CAMUY CAVES AND OBSERVATORY
Embark on an underground adventure at the Camuy River Cave Park , featuring a spectacular array of caverns securely adapted for visitors. Located in the northern area of the island, the caverns were formed by the flow of the Camuy River over one million years ago. Is one of the largest systems of caverns united in the Western Hemisphere. The excursion will take you through caverns holding enormous stalactites and stalagmites. The Camuy River, which runs through the cavern’s interior, is also believed to be one of the most spectacular underground rivers in the world. Nestled in the northern mountains is the world's largest radio-telescope, the Arecibo Observatory. Scientist uses this 20 acre, 1,000 ft. diameter dish to study the universe. All admissions included.
